How Collect differs from Ticketing & Voting

There's no setup wizard and no platform approval — a link goes live the moment you publish (you just need a verified payout account for the currency). GateOne keeps a flat 7%; the card fee is yours to absorb or pass to the payer.

Open Collect from the left. Every link you make — a donation page, an invoice, a product sale — lives here as a card. Hit New link to start.

GateOne collect — 002 — **Empty to start.** “Payment links — request money: donations, fundraising, offerings, invoices. One link, any amount.”

2The link form

Three cards, and you tune the wording.

The basics, how much, and options. The defaults suit a donation — but this form flexes into a fixed charge, preset tiers, or a full product catalog.

GateOne collect — 003 — **The basics.** Title, description, an optional cover image, and the country — which sets the **currency (GHS)** and payout terms, and is frozen after create.

GateOne collect — 004 — **How much.** Four **amount modes** — **Any amount**, **Fixed**, **Preset tiers**, **Products** — and four **link types** — Reusable, One payment, Expiring, **Goal** (with a progress bar). Plus the **card fee**: you absorb it, or the payer pays it on top. GateOne keeps a flat 7% either way.

GateOne collect — 005 — **Options & wording.** Anonymity, a “leave a message” toggle, a thank-you message — and the tailor-made copy: **Button label** (the pay button; blank = “Contribute”) and **Word for one payment** (blank = “contribution”). Add custom fields too. **Save as draft** or **Publish & go live**.

Make it sound like you

“Contribute / contribution” is the default. For a sale you'd set the button to Buy, for an invoice Pay, for dues Pay fees — and the whole page follows suit.

3Build a product sale

Sell items, priced from your list.

Let's make a real one — BUY SHOES by FINNEY VENTURES. Pick Products, list what you sell, pass the card fee to the buyer, and set the wording to “Buy”.

GateOne collect — 006 — **Name it & pick the currency.** Title **BUY SHOES**, description “SALE OF SHOES”, and the country/currency (the payout account decides which are available).

GateOne collect — 008 — **The product catalog.** Pick **Products**, then add each item — name, price, and an optional line of detail. Ours: **NIKE BLACK-42 · GHS 2,000**, **NIKE BLACK-40 · GHS 2,500**, **WHITE JORDANS-38 · GHS 5,000**. The payer picks quantities; the total is priced from this list, server-side.

GateOne collect — 009 — **Who pays the card fee.** We choose **Payer pays it** — added on top at checkout, so you net the full sticker price.

GateOne collect — 010 — **Tailor the words.** Anonymous off, and both labels set to **BUY** — so the button reads “Buy” and the wall reads “Recent BUYs”. Then **Publish & go live**.

4Publish & share

Live the moment you publish.

No approval queue — the link is active immediately. You get a QR and a short URL to share anywhere, plus Pause/Close controls and the running total.

GateOne collect — 012 — **The link is live.** **BUY SHOES · Active**, a share QR + link (/c/buy-shoes-…), Pause / Close, and a **BUYs** panel (empty for now). The whole form stays editable below.

GateOne collect — 024 — **Back in the workspace.** The link now shows as a card — **Products · Live · GHS 7,000 raised · 1 BUY** — with its cover and a one-tap share.

5What payers see & buy

A clean storefront — no account.

Anyone who opens the link lands on a themed page with your cover, picks items and quantities, and pays. The total updates live, card fee included.

GateOne collect — 016 — **The public page.** Your cover, “FINNEY VENTURES · BUY SHOES”, then **Choose items** — each with a −/+ stepper — and fields for email (for the receipt), optional name, phone and message.

GateOne collect — 018 — **Pick & fill.** 1× NIKE BLACK-42 + 1× WHITE JORDANS-38 → **Subtotal GHS 7,000**. Email + name (Charles Opoku-Agyemang) + phone.

GateOne collect — 019 — **The total.** Because the payer bears the fee: **GHS 7,000 + GHS 139.22 card fee → BUY GHS 7,139.22**. A non-refundable tick, then the **Buy** button.

GateOne collect — 020 — **Pay.** Checkout opens (Paystack) — Mobile Money / Card / Bank Transfer. **Pay GHS 7,139.22**. No account needed; it's “collected by GateOne on behalf of FINNEY VENTURES”.

6Confirmed & the money

Receipt to them, net to you.

The payer gets a thank-you and an emailed receipt; you see the sale and your net in the link's ledger straight away.

GateOne collect — 021 — **Thank you.** “Your **GHS 7,000.00** BUY is confirmed. A receipt is on its way to your email,” with a link back to BUY SHOES.

GateOne collect — 022 — **The receipt.** “Receipt — BUY SHOES”, from your own sender — “Thank you, Charles… your payment of GHS 7,000 to BUY SHOES was received.”

GateOne collect — 023 — **Your ledger.** **GHS 7,000 raised · 1 BUY** — Charles Opoku-Agyemang, amount GHS 7,000, **Your net GHS 6,510** (GateOne's flat 7% = GHS 490), **Confirmed**. Money settles to your payout account on your terms.

That's the whole loop

Make a link → choose a mode (any amount, fixed, tiers, or products) → tailor the wording → publish → share. Payers buy with no account, receipts go out automatically, and your net lands in the ledger and your payout account.

+Same builder, a different job

Now bill school fees.

To prove the point: the exact same three cards become a fees/invoice page. Set a Fixed amount, make it Expiring (a payment window), and change the wording to “Fees” — and the whole page reads like a bill, not a donation.

GateOne collect — fee-public — **The payer's view.** A clean bill: **AMOUNT GHS 1,500.00**, email, and — because the payer bears the fee — **FEES GHS 1,529.84** on the button (1,500 + 29.84).

GateOne collect — fee-ledger — **Paid.** The ledger: **GHS 1,500 raised · 1 SCHOOL FEES** — Charles Opoku-Agyemang, GHS 1,500, **your net GHS 1,395** (flat 7% = 105), **Confirmed**.

+And one more: church giving

Take the offering online.

Same builder again — a church “ways to give” page. Any amount, a custom thank-you blessing, and the wording set to Offertory / giving. Anonymous giving on, so members can give privately.

GateOne collect — church-labels — **Speak the church's language.** Button **OFFERTORY**, word **GIVING** (so the wall reads “Recent GIVINGs”), and a personal thank-you: *“God bless you for doing this, we really appreciate.”*

GateOne collect — church-public — **The giving page.** The church's “Ways to Give” cover, an open **Amount** field, a **Give anonymously** option, and an **Offertory** button — “collected by GateOne on behalf of the ministry”.
